Abstract

The efficacy and safety of dexmedetomidine as an analgesic adjuvant drug for anesthesia during colorectal cancer surgeries were studied. It was shown that combined epidural injection of dexmedetomidine and ropivacaine provides good anesthesia with adequate sedation, decrease in amount of anesthetics, did not cause severe hemodynamic disorders suggesting possibility of its use in clinical practice.
