Статтю присвячено вивченню можливостей використання мідазоламу в анестезіологічній практиці. Цей бензодіазепіновий гіпнотик короткої дії може посилювати знеболювальну дію інших анестетиків, але сам по собі не володіє таким ефектом. Перевагою цього препарату є його мінімальний вплив на серцево-судинну систему. Показано, що мідазолам є одним із найчастіше використовуваних седативних засобів під час діагностичних інвазивних процедур, а також у відділеннях інтенсивної терапії.
